Why should we learn Slang?
Slang is just one of those aspects of language which isn’t usually taught in the classroom but is an important part of becoming proficient in any language. It tells us about contemporary culture. 
Language isn’t static, and a language such as English is a collection and reinvention of the words of many other languages such as Latin and Greek, as well as the romance languages of Europe.
